  • New to SW - Philip

    Hey guys.

    Here's my 95 M3 as it sits.

    -Eibach/Koni
    -Stock 17" DS1s
    -235/40
    -ET 41

[I want to go 1" lower and space the DS1s out about 15mm, with a mild fender roll. The DS1's aren't going anywhere, but they are going to eventually get powder-coated Nagaro centers with a polished lip]

Very clean, once you go that 1" lower it will be perfect.

    Welcome to StanceWorks.

Thanks everyone. Yes, that set of photos are much better than anything I have taken of my own car, Halston (DinanM3ATL on this forum) is a hell of a photographer.

Actually, believe it or not that roundel is completely 110% unobtainable. I worked in BMW parts for a while and my manager and I spent litererally over a year scouring the BMW Europe and NA parts database (including BMW Motorrad) in search of it. It simply no longer exists.
That is a vinyl overlay on top of a normal roundel in that picture. It looked ok from a few feet away, but when you examined it closely, which was exactly the first thing that any educated Bimmerphile who saw it did, you could tell it was fake. So I took it off.

Nice car, tho why a mild fender roll? once you commit to it, just go all the way.

Well, since I'm keeping the stock DS1s and only spacing them out far enough to be flush wit the body, I wont need a very aggressive roll. I'm doing the fender roll for function, not for looks. Also, I dont want to push my wheels out too far and have to stretch smaller tires just to fit them.

                          Haa! Thanks Mike,
Idk if you remember me, but I'm Halston's friend with the Avus 95 M3. We met at a few of the bf.c/ga Fuddruckers meets a year or so ago.
That was back before the e28 was rusty, and you kept scraping your exhaust on everything! It was cool then, but judging by your current sigpic it looks like you took it a lot further. I absolutely LOVE the WWII nose art theme.

I'm far from properly stanced. If you look at the picture where I'm parked in front of the grey concrete wall you can see the fender gap pretty clearly. Those DS1s need to come out pretty seriously.
