  • Evil Panda's quest for the lowest E36...

So I had another sort of temporary build thread but now focus has shifted and I will be making this car THE lowest E36. I purchased the car summer of 2011 and it was a decent platform to start with with a few minor blemishes.

After driving it for a few months, I decided to get new tires and raise it for the upcoming SLC winter. Driving it like a monster truck for a few months made me want to go crazy with this car...

So I got some smaller tires up front and spun the coils back down again but a bit lower than before so that I could stand driving it again.

After driving like this for a few weeks, I wanted more low, but could barely get in my driveway as is. I decided to part out my MK4 and focus on making this the lowest E36 I have ever seen, so I took the bags off the Jetta with hopes of installing them on the E36.

After a bit of cutting, welding and fitting, I got the fronts done but still need to finish the rears.

After finishing the rears (hopefully this weekend), I plan to finish my wheels and get them on within a few weeks.

That's about it for now, but just expect more low as the updates come in.

Your sig says bagged e36 but you mention spinning down coils. Are you on a bag over coil setup or static?

Had coils previously, but now its on bags, at least up front, still need to do the rears.

Its not cheating when I still roll lower than almost any other static E36.

And evolution... Its a beautiful thing.

                              Looks awesome.
But your on bags, so therefore it does not matter how low you are... If it were this low static I would love it.
