I made a timeline thread on Vortex when I sold the Jetta a week and a half ago but was so busy afterward looking for a new car and all that stuff that I didn't get a chance to post on here. I found a new car last week and now own a 2004 Tornado Red R32. It's got some odds and ends to work on and a lot of clearcoat peel (damn TR R32 cancer). More on this at the bottom.
Back to the Jetta. After being up for sale for about 14 months, I finally found a buyer for it. I had this car for 7.5 years and it was truly one of a kind in being a problem-free MK4 for the entire length of ownership.
My dad bought this for himself in 2003 with about 4 miles on it and a year later it was passed down to me with less than 5k on it. Since then, I've absolutely loved the car and its more or less become another representation of myself. I've made some great friends along the way and learned a hell of a lot. I remember when I first got my coilovers in 2006 and couldn't figure out how they adjusted, so I can easily say that it changed a lot in my life
So here's a little timeline of the car in its many stages. It's fun to see how the overall trend and styles have changed and how much lower acceptable ride height has become. I think my photo skills have gotten a little bit better too over the years

Onto the new car!
Tornado Red R32 with leather interior, came with Bilstein PSS9s, OZ Superleggeras, Hella Euro tails, resonator delete, and flapper mod and I'm absolutely loving it already. The car needs some small odds and ends, has a crack in the front bumper, and the infamous R32 Tornado Red clearcoat peel, but the plan is to get the car in perfect running order and then figuring out what to do with the paint. At the very least it'll get a full respray, if I fall into a boatload of money, I wouldn't mind a color change since I'm not actually a huge fan of red cars (though this is growing on me every day)

Plans are to sell the PSS9s and pick up coilovers that can go low, as the PSS9s are maxed out up front right now with the helpers and perches intact It's winter so I don't care to take things apart to get it lower, I'll just sell the PSS9s to someone who will enjoy them as the performance coilovers that they are (they handle really well and the car rides great right now). CCWs will go on in about a month once I get the new coilovers and things will move from there. All in all, I'm super happy with it.
Replaced this little gem on Sunday. The car was running in fwd when I got it thanks to a corroded Haldex connector plug. My friend Greg rewired the connector wires up and I'm no longer driving an expensive GTI
