  • You know its a project when there is grass growing through the floor.

    Hello Stanceworks!

I have been following alot of builds on here and i have to say i think it has the most entertaining builds on the web.

So i thought id dive in and share a bit of my own.

Its not much at the moment, im at college and have two jobs so havent done much besided gathering parts. Not to mention it needs welding first and i havent learned to weld yet.

Anyways, here it is: Nothing interesting or unusual like some of the builds on here. Just your standard Mk2 Golf GTI.

That was the day i got it, It is a pretty decent shell, nothing major besides a hole in the floor pan and a bit of arch work needs doing. I plan on needing to cut the arches out for clearance anyway.

Looks like crap, i know. But i did buy it for a reason:

KR 16v from a corrado, got some trick parts, so should run (fingers crossed) up to 160ish hp.

Looks like a promising start, what are your plans for it? I would put the parts from the beige one into the black one. Black is soooo much easier to match paint and do small touch ups.

Had a lot more parts come in.

I also got all the boot carpets I needed but they don't make nice pictures.

I like your choice in parts! The question is, what parts are going on what cars?

Personally I'd put the KR engine in the jetta with the beige interior and wooden wheel, then put the recaro's in the original golf gti along with all the other bits you've picked up. That's just me though, I look forward to seeing what you decide to do!

lowered, because it makes the boobies bounce
