Whats good? My name is Lou and im an addict. Ive been addicted to "ruining perfectly good cars" since my first car when I was 16. A lot of you know me from my last car. I had a 95 VW golf. Gti front end swapped. It was a bagged notched and stanced. Last seen at H2o with 16in Mercedes amg monoblock 2's. I was also the founder of MADEYULK here in Nj. Due to Hurricane Sandy. I had to part out and sell the Vw. Which broke my heart. In my current situation I needed a pick up truck. I picked up a 91 Chevy s10 over the winter and already Im sitting at a 5/6 static drop. Currently on firebird mesh wheels. Spacers are ordered. I plan on attempting to stance this truck the best that I can .I swapped the whole front end, Grill, lip, bumper, headlamps fogs, blinkers, for all my favorite parts of the gen1 s10. I built a bunch custom interior parts, center console, sun visors, knobs, cranks all out of used Skate decks and skateboard parts. I pretty much have the whole truck mapped out but right now funds are beyond tight. So Ill be doing and building what I can when I can. My last car took 4 years to get to where I was stoked and you could see my personality show through it. In 6 months time my new truck already screams my personality. So in my eyes Im way ahead in comparison.
I want to thank stanceworks and the whole stance scene for being open minded to all types of cars and trucks. It really comes down to style, stance and individuality. Im not into the overly flashy, massive wheel, gaudy paint, craziness that is all the mini trucking forums. I keep reading that those guys don't know where their scene is going. Well I hope to help cross it over with the other few s10 and pickup guys on this forum that share similar visions as me. Eventually when all is said and done I hope to have once again built a well respected project.
The shop truck is a 91 S10 2.5L 4cyl Iron Duke. Its a 5 speed manual. On my journey home with the truck the trans exploded. I had it towed to my buddys shop so we could do a major tune up and replace the trans.
The truck needed more work then I thought. The whole suspension was garbage too so needless to say I started there.
This is shortly after I picked the truck up.
