Default Bowling pin shift knobs

Working at a bowling alley, being a woodworker, and a car guy got my creative juices flowing. This was the outcome:

Installed:

And for those who think they're too big and bulky, a newer, sleeker style coming soon. (Left to right) The original bowling pin knob, two of my new style knobs (unfinished), and a Civic knob for size comparison.

If you're interested in one, PM me. I'm not selling in this thread. Just showcasing my work for feedback. Thanks for looking!

Very cool stuff, but they look kind of phallic to me. Either way, that's some quality work!

Too big/tall for me, but to each his own.

Quality work, though.

I'd like to see one left in classic bowling pin colors with all the dings/dents/scratches left in it, as well. Would be great in a nu-rat.

Is that a hydrodipped finish, or the actual grain of the wood being used?

The finish is polyurethane. The wood is all real, maple.

This is interesting.

Got me thinking about using the handle-end of a baseball bat with some poly finish to it.

Props. Looks good.

Definitely interested to see the new smaller version, those are pretty badass. Would also match a nardi wheel pretty well.

Speaking of which, this is way off topic, but I'd really like to see that 87 Lancer in your signature.

This is really cool, having an idea like that is awesome, creativity overload, but for sure that brought you lots of work to do.

I've actually been wanting to try and match a Nardi wheel.

Thanks. They've generated some interest, but I could use more work.

Well I got more pics to show off the different styles. Currently I have 3 distinct styles:

Fat Boy knob: Retains the original shape of the bowling pin. Burnt Natural Gloss and Red Mahogany Gloss

Skinny Boy knob: Lends a more "natural" shift knob feel. Dark Maple Satin.

Tall Boy knob: Still in development.
