So here's a little story about my Jetta Coupe
My name is Luuk, I'm an engineer and live in the Netherlands.
Last year I lost my daily transort to the cops, due to the fact that is was a scooter which was to fast to be legal here in holland.
I also own a motorcycle and have a projectcar or two. but i dont want to drive them daily. therefore there was only one thing to do, buy a new daily driver.
Just some pics of the not so daily drivers:
KTM supermoto
Volvo
And then i picked up my new car as advertised:
Jadegrun Jetta Coupe
Rust free car
1.3 litre engine with a 4speed manual gearbox
When i went to take a look at it i realised this was probably the nicest jetta for sale so I had to buy it. The day i picked it up:
Since I am a long time lurker on the forum I think it is finaly time to post my car, since i am now at a point that it actually is a nice car.
I started changing things right away, like removing the black paint from the indicators and the logo, mounting some roofracks and lowering it.
It also needed some audio:
Then I got creative with some yellow foil:
And then some orange because i didn't like the collor:
done:
I welded an extra bend in my exhaust to set the tip at a different angle and went creative again, this time by adding a reverse light and using some red foil on the taillights
When i went to the junkjard to score a sigaret lighter, i also found a nice extra bonnet for 25€ and coudn't pass up on it. Planning on doing something fun with it in the future
My interior is pretty clean, but those holes in the seats bugged me so i went for some patches.
On my next visit to the junkjard however, i found a rear seat with the same fabric. I picked it up to redo my front seats in the future, using this fabric.
Ordered some 25mm spacers:
Also tried them in the front, but they were to big so i ordered some 15mm spacers for the front. Had my wheelarches rolled and mounted them. Unfortunately the paint on my arches got damaged in the process, so i tried my best fixing this up using a rattlecan.
While I was at it I might as well work on the few rust spots on the car
First my right front fender:
After some screwdriver action:
Stripped it and cut out the bad part:
