  • bmw e39 from the UK

this isnt an extensive rebuild as some of you guys have done on here this is simply just making a ok car look slightly better.

so ill just let the pics do the talking to where im at with my little 5 series so far

started out like this plain and boring

first this black door and bumper moldings

    then ditched the nasty wood

then removed the grey roof lining, handles, inetrior lights ,abc pillars etc and swapped for black m5 alcantara

then on went the coilees and new top mounts

    bought and had refurbed a set of 4 x 9.5j style 65 m5 wheels with 235/40/18s

then wanted a bit more usdm look

got lots more things planned but this is a good start so far ill betting fitting 20mm hubcentrics, getting my arches rolled and pulled and probably go another 10mm lower

got my roof spoiler and decided to paint it today so on went a few coats of grey primer

then few coats of the colour

while that was drying i dug out some old shot gun cartridges i had and trimmed them down as they make perfect wheel bolt covers !!

test fitted the roof spoiler and ill fit it properly in the next day or so

fitted some 20mm hubcentrics making my wheel offset et2 and getting my archs rolled next friday then i'll be able to go lower

      then had laser alignment done

so now the wheels fill the arches properly

First, good work I love your shotgun shell lug covers. Second, I always wondered if people in other countries do USDM things like we do EDM and JDM things. Thanks for answering my question.

yeh its always good to mix the oem parts im considering getting a usdm trunk lid (or boot lid as we call it) just because i think it looks cleaner with the small plate recess, the roof spoilers from my JDM days

my old ps13 and r32 4 door...... id love to fit SSR sp1's on me e39 although work VS's would be the dream

so was time for the arches to get done so i had phil from ARCHENENMY.CO.UK come over hes done a few cars for me in the past and his work is flawless so i had the rears rolled and pulled slightly and the fronts rolled and then adjusted the coilovers another 5mm lower all round

then came some general maintenance i had a split im the expansion tank ( a common fault on e39's) so paid the £90 bmw wanted !! and figured while all thats gotta come out the way may aswell chuck new aux drive belts on for good measure

my mate hard at it :hihi

and my mate liked the way my builds going he found this mint 2 owner car with 61k on it

Style 65s are one of my favorite OEM wheels. They're one of the main reasons I fell in love with e39 M5's. Is that an RMZ450 or 250 in your garage?
