been checking out the forum for a while as looking to build a e28 bmw and thought id post you a few pics of my 10yr on/off build of my 1970 mk1 escort 1300E
body/chassis spec:
big wing arches
new floors, inner wings, roof,sills, a-pillars
complete front end, wings front valence, bonnet, strut supports.
integrated TVR cerbera rear chassis and differential housing,
one off upper and lower rear arms
one off adapted roll cage
suspension/brakes
bilstein coilovers: short tarmac spec front
nitron track rears (to be inboard mounted)
porsche boxster 4pots all round
wheels:
compomotive ml's 13x8 and 13x10
engine/trans:
S50B32 m3 evo engine
gt35r turbo
std m3 6speed
quaife 8.5 differential
single piece mk1 prop
clutch masters td725 twin carbon
this has been a long on off project and although it seemsa lot to replace and prob easier to have bought a cleaner car to start with after owning for 13yrs i cant bare to part with it!!
i hope you enjoy and please be nice. the final photo with the rear wheel in place is a moch up for rear arm fabrication so very similar to how she will sit..................
fabrication up to the rear arches was carried out by myself the rear and external body is being finished by a very good friend of mine due to his metal working skills!!!!
