Whats new?
I have acquired and installed a new rare as hens teeth gear knob. That's literally it. I won't be doing anymore work now until i begin to strip it for the engine and running gear conversion. Plan is: (Mehow you'll approve)
Smoothed front bumper, plastic welded with use of a donor bumper to keep the 3 lines across the whole bumper
16v Boot floor cut out of donor can and welded into mine (Shallower floor to allow for central exit exhaust)
16V Rear bumper
GTE Seats can finally go in, as well as interior trimmed to match
16v 1396cc engine swap, with all donor looms and running gear (Brakes etc)
Head rebuild, will send out for a port and polish
I'm going to use my 1.0 gearbox, but use the long 5th gear out of my Polo's dead box (Photo's further down), after stripping my Polo box, i discovered you can literally change 5th gear in 15 mins. Perfect.
Interior air build will be finished, as i never got around to completing it.
Rebuilding my splits, 8.0 front 8.5 rear, with polished faces, black mesh inserts
Only other work i have scoped in is dependant on time, and if i will realistically be able to get it done in time. That being:
Rear roll cage, unsure of where to go to get one quoted and drawn up
Porsche Yachting blue respray
Deadline - 10th May 2019, Wothersee.
My friend knocked up a render of how the bumper will look as you can see here.
We hit 114k Yesterday too!!
Remember my Polo? Well, i got round to getting the box out last week. Here's 3rd gear.
Casing is completely destroyed, so i'm picking up my new gearbox tonight.
Glad this one's never let me down...

Going to be fun!
Seeing as this is the only one that's never let you down, might as well get rid of the others who have right?
Sell the GTI (which you never use anyway) and get a that wagon as a winter daily. Before I do!

Morning all,
Copped some daily wheels for winter, pretty bad move as they're polished metal so they''ll love the salty Winter UK roads but i'll deal with it.
They're called Cartec Monza 1's, Next to no info on them so if anyone knows anything about them please share! Bought them of of facebook market place, considering they're 30 years old they're not actually too bad. Will upload more photo's of them later as i've left my phone at home, whoops. I've started sanding and re polishing one, and so far minus the pitting, it's coming up mint. Not arsed about them being stupid clean, just nice and presentable.

Some better wheel images.
As you can see, after a quick clean the corrosion was pretty bad. So far i've got the one rim to this state
The two that have laquered faces i will be polishing the lips and running this week
Had some photo's back from ultimate stance too, the last UK show of the year.
Me and Dawson also had a shit hoodie colab.
Cheers all.
