Right then here is a long due update of what's been going on.
After picking up a cheap headunit for the car as it didn't come with one I came across this set up which I always planned to get for the car, so I couldn't say no.
Becker unit & cassette player.
As the car was at Studio Incar I had it sent direct to them so they could fit it properly, as the car had no wires or ariel etc.
Also updates were coming through thick & fast about the airride.
Parts turning up.
Then I had pics of wheel set up they were aiming for.
As you can imagine I was very happy with the outcome.
Then lots more pictures kept getting sent to me of different stages of the build.
Start of the boot build.
Brackets for the bags were then designed/mocked up & trail fitted.
Then they were taken away to get power coated.
Then fitted in place.
Front & rear potentiometers were also fitted.
Lines going in.
And the last thing they were waiting for was the dampened brackets.
And finally all done sitting on the floor (well wood blocks for time being as the exhaust won't let it as hangs too low lol).
And one of the exhaust problems lol !
One on the white walls.
Boot was then trimmed & finished (which I still can't believe how good it looks).
Sorry no colour ones yet as it's a surprise.
So last Saturday I made the long journey up to Studio Incar to pick the car up & see it with my own eyes for the first time, WOW was my first word & I can't explain how good their work is, big thanks goes out to the guys who made this happen.
That evening it was tucked away in its brand new home which is still finished.
After a Sunday doing nothing Monday was time to start stripping the car ready for the next stage it's bodywork.
So me & a mate of mine got stuck into it.
All chromes have now gone off to be redone & car is ready to go off to the bodyshop next week.
I will also add that it needs to all be finished by June 13th, which is its first show of the year Players Classic at Goodwood.
Fingers crossed it's ready.

So the big job has started of the full respray, after dropping the car off to one of my best friends bodyshop I started to stip the even more, first all the handles & grille came off then I started on the doors & bonnet.
Doors & Bonnet off to get blasted.
The boot lid will also get blasted at a later stage as at the moment it is protecting the boot build from all the dust etc.
Then I left the car with them so they could start the prepping ready for paint.
As they are really busy at the moment I've been helping prep the door shuts.
Also the roof was probably one of the worst parts of the car, so that would need stripping back to metal which I started Friday afternoon but didn't get quite enough time to finish.
Yes I know the rear screen is still fitted but it will be coming out next week.
Also the doors came back from the blasters in really good condition, which we were a bit worried about as we thought they wouldn't come back in one piece, all in all so far I've been very lucky with the lack of rust.
More updates coming soon so watch this space.
