Event posters are where art and automobiles have come together for decades, so when I began discussing potential collaboration projects with Formula Drift, my mind instantly jumped to the prints that so often proceeded races. Despite the style that runs rampant through the drifting culture, it’s rare to find art that echoes the dynamic atmosphere of the events.

With most of the show season behind us and the days growing shorter, it’s time to look forward to the fall and winter months that will be spent in the garage tinkering on the builds that will roll out on the streets next spring. I’ve been hard at work in the studio working on the most recent run of Lowly Gentlemen gear which I’m pleased to announce is now available. At the forefront of the fall line are 3 new shirt designs in the StanceWorks Lifestyle collection.
It’s been almost a year since I first found the little car in a classified ad, sitting somewhere in the middle of Kentucky just waiting for me. The Classic Mini I had always wanted was finally mine and it was time to enjoy it. As the months ticked by, I took it out on the weekends to get a feel for it, and I’d browse through magazines, forging plans for the inevitable build that would ensue.
With the new Lowly Gentlemen Studio constructed and the StanceWorks garage organized, it was time to begin the latest line of T-Shirts. As I sat down at my desk, I decided to turn to ink and paper rather than the usual vectors and mouse-clicks that had become so common in my workload of graphic design. I found inspiration in the raw brush strokes that I noticed in many of the race numbers and liveries that decorated the paddocks of each historic race.
