Every year Big Bear California celebrates Oktoberfest as any traditional German town would. Droves of Volkswagens and Audis have made the trek up the moutain roads each year to see old friends and take part in the Oktoberfest Car event . This year STANCE|WORKS will be throwing a get together to kick the weekend off right. Join us on October 7th at 8PM in the large parking lot at Northwood Resort.
Let’s face it: StanceWorks is inarguably made up of wheel snobs enthusiasts, and when we got the opportunity to tour the HRE facility and get an inside look at how their forged wheels are manufactured, we were more than excited. Wheels and the wheel industry mean a lot to us, and the opportunity for us to take an inside look at some of the finest wheels in the world tickled our fancy to say the least.
We are starting off the week by bringing a sneak peek into the world of high society. While these are cars few of us will ever get to own, as enthusiasts and automotive voyeurs, it is always a treat to get to live vicariously through those who do. eGarage had the opportunity last year to take a inside look at one of the most esteemed automotive events that occurs each year called the Concorso Italiano.
Our good friend JJ over at at AWOL/DubKorps has built quite the solid RS4 Avant. You might recognize it… it used to be Ibis white. It’s been redone, and we found it too cool not to share. What is so cool? Well, that’s not just flat green paint.
The avant has received a color change to Olive Drab Marine Corps C.A.R.C. (Chemical Agent Resistent Coating), the same paint used on all USMC vehicles.
There’s only one way to preface this article, and that’s by saying the name “Oxer.” Those of you that don’t know him need to hop on over to the forums and educate yourselves. Those of you that do know quite well that Ox is an integral part of the SW family. At the beginning of the month, Ox flew over to the United States from his home country Australia.
