This past Saturday, Andrew and I were invited out by Matt and Brad @ fifteen52 to go see Ken Block perform at a special edition of his Gymkhana World Tour. Why “so special” you ask? Because Mr. Block (of DC Shoe fame) unveiled this:
What you are looking at is Ken’s latest race-car, aimed at participating in all 3 various racing circuits, aptly named the “Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle.
See that guy? The one with the ridiculous beard? That’s Cory Hutchison, and he’s the best damn Honda kid out there. I’m sure there will be repercussions for saying that later, but we’re going to continue anyway.

For every chassis, there’s one car that leads the pack. When it comes to E28s, most would consider Austin Driggers’s red 535i to be the cleanest, best executed E28 around. And I’d have to agree.
Jeremy Whittle has decided to take the crown and leave no room for the competition. Once E28 owners realize they’re going up against a fitted and swapped E28, the game changes quite a bit.
Over the past year and a half, Rodney Nichols has become one of my closest friends. Like many, I met him thanks to Mr. Slammington and this very site. It wasn’t long after I met him that he opened the door of his garage to show me his 1986 Honda Prelude. At the time, it was in several pieces, and he was looking for some advice on how to modify his front suspension.
Import Alliance 2011 went rather well and we all had a blast at the event. It was a great opportunity to see old friends and faces and discuss what parts we’ve broken and what parts we’ve fixed since the year before. The hot sun was as brutal as always and the sweat made just as much of an appearance as the cars, but nonetheless a good time was had by all. There’s no question though that best part of the weekend was the day after.
