“Splitty wants to eat floor.” That’s how this whole build started when Harvey Fulford contacted Paul Medhurst at Type2Detectives. There is a story here, and a good one, so let’s start from the top shall we?
Harvey is a young guy, with petrol being a part of his gene pool. He has been raised in SouthEast England, where his father is a diehard auto enthusiast having a particular affinity for American Muscle.
It’d be tough to find someone who would disagree that the most enjoyable part of the annual H2Oi weekend is simply the gathering of friends and the opportunity to kick it as a gang for the weekend. It’s an opportunity to see those we only get to see once or twice a year, and for many, an annual highlight. For us, it’s not only a vacation, but a chance to pull out our cameras and shoot the cars we hardly ever get to see.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Andrew and I. In the past 3 weeks we have been out at H2Oi in Maryland (yes, we still need to get those photos up), in Big Bear for Oktoberfest (coverage on that soon), up in NorCal doing some collaborative work with eGarage (which turned out amazing) and just flew back in from Texas for Wek’Fest.
A lot of people ask us, “what does it take to be a sponsor on Stance|Works?” The answer sounds simple enough: Be a manufacturer or fabricator and have a standard of not settling for the “status quo.” Not as easy as you would think. Today’s industries are made up of mindsets that insist on making “the quickest dollar at the lowest cost,” which would be fine, if quality wasn’t the variable that was sacrificed.
