Respray is on the Menu !
I thought I'd throw up a pic of the car before it's resprayed in about 6 days. I think i'm gonna go with the original yellow but we'll see.
What color do you guys think I should do????
Thanks

I'd do some kinda purple.
Maybe my favourite color ever:
VW Dusty Mauve LC5P, pretty desaturated purple metallic that almost looks like dark grey depending on the lighting, AWESOME color:
Really hard to capture in pictures though.

I'd say a cream white leave wheels as is...
But with a white car you can choose any wheel color really.

You can still do Dusty Mauve.
A guy I know bought a dusty mauve mk3 as a beater and just sanded it flat:
Looks awesome in person, I'd say def. do purple!

What about going for the murdered out style.
Satin/matte black car, with black wheels too but leaving the lips of the wheels polished! And smoked lights all round and maybe polished mirror's and front bumper/fender

A trick I found out recently is if you spray a base clear job without the clear, using a newer paint (like for .. say a wrx ) itl come out satin and stay that way. The draw is that youd get a sweet satin paint job in a modern color, they do it on alot of retro rods.

I say white and leave the wheels gold but I am slightly biased.

The blue in the OP is the best option IMO, second is Dr. Ak's suggestion of flat purple.

Know what would look dope? That exact color that it is right now, but with clear. haha the OG yellow is pretty cool though. Got a friend with a yellow Corona wagon.
