Have had quite a few views on NICOclub so I though id post here as well.

so this will be catch up for a bit...

    2014 day one

Car ran rough, wouldn't engage 2nd or 4th gear, stripped down interior, no exhaust after cats, and obvious cosmetics. No big deal right? Car started instantly and i drove it home.

Not much to look at in a good way...

Started digging......and it didn't take long to find many more things.

    ^^^pics are fixed^^^

I love z32s so much. There are some awesome threads on here (If you haven't seen them already). What are your plans for this diamond in the rough.

Looks like I will photo dump 20 pictures a week for now.

There wasn't a solid plan. i just tried to put it somewhat back together.

threw in an old bottom dash mount cd player as a temp setup

got a cheap single small exhaust so i could hear else what was making noise

also put some paint on the nose

then i worked out some issues...

Injectors were the first thing that was an absolute must have.

        slightly upgraded exhaust

Found a hotwheel and got a useless key made at a local hardware store. The key was too worn for copies but looked sweet.

and then I got a little rattle can happy...

Then it broke in Cincinnati on the interstate (about 220 miles from home). It simply went knock..knock..boom. It made such a smoke cloud of oil they shut down the 4 lane looking for a car on fire. until they found it was me....

You are correct! Still have no idea what exactly broke first and caused that.

Found an exhaust sound video i figured id share even though its at a much later point in the build. Headers into 2.5in exhaust and out dual 2.5in Thrush welded mufflers.

Only a fellow z owner truly understands throw yourself into it. Owning and reading the service manual is essential. These cars have a step learning curve for sure...
It was a completely failed tensioner. I unassumingly just put the tensioner bolt in, then realized there was no need. Pure luck it remained in time.

Also had new Eibach springs and Tokico HP shocks installed a few months prior to purchase for those wondering where that whooping 1in drop came from.
