  • EUROBAE - slow W109 restoration in Amsterdam, NL

    hi all,
i'm charles. i haven't been on here in forever, because i haven't been working on a car in forever, haha. i moved to NL in june 2014 and left my old car behind in LA:

    here's the build thread: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11395

i recently picked up a MY1971 300SEL 3.5 -- it's an original CA car (which will be cool if i ever decide to move back to LA). originally delivered by downtown LA motors, it spent some time in east bay north of oakland. it requires some restoration work, which i'll be working on, while also working on aftermarket air suspension.

i only have crap IG photos of it so far:

so far, i'm thinking of airlift 3H, with some AZ compressors and maybe some SS bags. thoughts?

just some rear door handles hahaha. still got a few more things showing up, then hopefully next week or the week after i'll be able to put the car up on stands and take a look at all the rubber pieces underneath.

Haha welcome to Holland, where almost all pre-70's Benz's are rusty as fck

I hope yours is an exception :thumbsup

Curious why an American would want to live in Holland...

Oh wow you're actually probably pretty close to me. I live right on the edge of Amstelveen/Amsterdam. Cool car you got goin' on. Doing a US-style builld would be interesting to see over here!

I hope I get to see you roll around sometime. The amount of clean/cool cars over here is somewhat disappointing haha.
