  • 16x9 /16x11 compomotive FX 5 spoke for e28,31,34

    sold

    Hi all,
Another of the personal sets going up for grabs. there are about 20 more 3 piece sets that will go up over the next two or so months that I have collected over the years and decided to give up to make room and also to get into a few more project cars.. most of the wheels i am selling are rare and wont be seen again. this is one of these sets

    16" compomotive build

aggressive e28 fitment, can fit other cars of that era, e31, 34, 28, even e21 with some fender work and air perhaps.. looking for someone who isn't afraid of tucking a big set of wheels under their arches. not for the faint of heart, not for people who don't want a challenge. if you are new to wheels and want to bolt these up to your mkiv, these are not for you

    the wheels are as follows

    16" 20 bolt faces 5x120 74mm cb
faces chemically stripped, shot with gloss black, then radially brushed/diamond cut, then clear coated. this was done about 2 years ago, has been sitting wrapped up in bubble wrap on a shelf ever since.
faces come with original compomotive center caps intact
faces have a low pad height all around. only 8mm high. perfect for someone who wants to fit maximum lip

16x3.25" front lips - bbs motorsport - mirror polished in process
16x4.25" rear lips - bbs motorsport - mirror polished in process
inner barrels front 16x5.5 motorsport gloss black
inner barrels rear 16x6.5 motorsport gloss black
new m6 assembly hardware - bbs m6x40 gloss black
    new bbs motorsport sealing rings
    bbs motorsport valve stems

as mocked up, these are the sizes with the face mount/low pad heights
    16x9+30 front
    16x11+30 rear

wheels will be ready for final assembly in about 1 week. doing final polish on lips and powder on barrels.

wheels being sold as is, not responsible for fitment to your car.

mock up pics on dirty halves for now

price: going to start these out far lower than i would initially as i would like to sell these sooner than later, and want to give someone a good deal on a crazy set if they are willing to put in some work to make them fit..
2600 picked up, 2750 shipped to lower 48 states.

If you are feeling extra generous this holiday season and want to secret santa style these bad boys I'll go ahead and pm you my address now so we avoid any future awkwardness.

Seriously though, just an amazing set of wheels. Cheers

Thanks very much. Honestly I'm considering eBay for them if they don't sell quickly, so you may end up getting them for a good price if the auction ends early. not looking to hold onto them because i don't plan to add another bmw in the collection

Keep the offers on these coming. Going to also put these up on a few other forums to gain some more interest. For an e28 these things would be just awesome, just sad I don't have one otherwise I would be doing the install.

for sake of transparency, first person with 2300$ picked up, 2500 shipped inside lower 48 gets the set. ready for assembly saturday as i had my polisher button up the lips

if it doesnt sell at this pricepoint soon, i may do something else with the halves as i have a lot of 20 bolt faces from various companies including some very rare 70s 3 piece fuchs made by bbs (with part numbers) oddly enough

If you want to send over an email I can give you a little more info. They aren't done yet because I haven't decided how to finish them up for spring but the plan is to build them to 17"

thanks yeah its a cool set, just needs to find the right home.

an aggressive e30m would be perfect for these. pad heights are low allowing for the large lips.
