  • Type 2 Bay Window and a MK6 clean diesel lol

Hi my last username didn't allow me to post anything. So I figured I post something with this new username. Now without any further interruptions,

1971 VW Westfalia Type 2 Bay Window Transporter/Kombi/Bus/etc
Wagenswest parts: 4" narrowed beam with 2.5" drop spindles
Rear 3.25" boomerang drop plates with one notch down on the torsion bars.
    Enkei EK98 15x7 ET13 165/45 front 185/60 rear

The bus had a bigger motor put in by the last owner. Currently has a 1776cc single carb
The front end was damaged so a new nose clip was welded on. But the only aftermarket nose skin was from a later bay window (1973-1979).
So I decided to keep both upper and lower turn signals. Why not?

Got into some paint stripper for the ratty look

Then I went a little over board

2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6 speed
Accuair e-level with airlift slam xl struts and read bags
    Adjustable rear camber arms
BSH 27mm solid rear away bar
    C-notched front passenger frame
    Dieselgeek skid plate
Shaved and molded front bumper to aftermarket lip
Currently on OZ Racing Superturismo LM graphite
    19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with 225/35 front 235/35 rear

    AMG Monoblocks 18x8 et 29 18x9 et31 215/35 tires

test fit the bus wheels (15s do not clear the brakes up front)

    VMR VB3 18x8.5 et45 225/40 tires

    unknown chrome wheels

    unknown TSW wheels

Currently on OZ Racing Superturismo LM graphite
    19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with 225/35 front 235/35 rear

Eventually throw air ride on the bus huge c-notches and wheel tubs and maybe even a Subaru EJ22 motor swap.

The wagon will probably get a tune of some sort if its even worth it this point.

This is with the original 14" wheels and caps

Got the bench put in the back with a mexican blanket cover

Buying a christmas tree with the wife

When I got the Enkei wheels polished. The previous owner had the lips welded to the barrel . Also the steering wheel is a white slotted Mooneyes 15" steering wheel

Some "insulation" with wood paneling in the interior. Still need to finish the rest

Would like to do a sectional type of seating in the future.

If I'd ever had (the chance) to own a T2, it would be looking like this. So guuuuud!
