As the title states, a couple months ago I picked up an 89 Yugo GV.
Yes, you read that right, Yugo.
So I stumbled across this ad on Craigslist for an $800 Yugo. At first I thought it would be a bad idea, but then I realized I'd break necks and I was sold. My dad and I drove 4 hours both ways to pick up a Yugo and all he said was "You better prove everyone wrong".
So here is was, when I first set my eyes on it.
First day in the shop.
Details:
1100cc
4 speed
56k original miles
Runs/ kinda drives
Needs some rust repair, wiring issues to chase down, and there's no brakes.
What I've done so far:
Fixed the ignition/ Broken key situation
Momo hub
Slammedenuff Minty Steering wheel
Wood bead seat covers
Borrowed my buddy's Diamonds and went as low as I could go in the rear since its mono leaf.
Plans:
Get it dailyable
Traklite Drums 15x8 et0
Moar low
Possible camber or flares
Re wrap interior panels
Hard wood hatch?
