The first couple threads are messed up due to cross threading the hex caps. Is there an easy way to fix it, or do I need to use sand paper and fix them by hand?

I stuffed a thread on one of mine straight after I rebuilt a set. I'm guessing yours are stuffed from cross threading billet hexes, can't see how you'd do it with stock, plastic threaded ones?
I went to a wheel shop, nothing could be done(you might be able to by hand with finesse and very fine files maybe?)......I had to buy another single wheel and build it to match the others. That stuffed one is now an ornament with a plastic hex glued in place to look like a complete wheel.

You may be able to machine off the ruined threads, leaving enough good ones to use.Comment
