So it all began...in a universe not so far away...
I picked up my Cruze so I could stop daily driving my Subaru...little did I know I would get married, have a kid and end up having to sell the Subaru to a kid who did the unspeakable...
It went from this....
To this...
So here she is, in her all stock glory...going from under 20mpg to over 30mpg was pretty nice...not gonna lie.
It took me a while to get back into the game but I got tires of hubcaps so I snatched up some wheels on clearance last summer to make me all fuzzy inside, I cut my springs and have regretted it everyday since...never again!
June 2014 - I ended up grabbing some spacers but i couldn't cut any more spring off comfortably so the car looked like this for about 5 months...
November 2014 - I found out I was deploying again so it was time to sell the wheels and get something new going. I picked up some XXR 18x9.5 +35 and decided that I would make them work...and work it will take! Threw the wheels on and took a few quick pics.
These wheels ended up taking a bit of work to even get on...I had to run wheel adapters to get any sort of aggressive fitment out of a wheel so I went with 5x114.3.
The wheel studs had to be shaved to allow the new wheels to sit on the adapter all flush-like! I also pulled the trigger and painted up the majority of my "chrome" trim along with a light coat of tint on the tails, clear and buffed to the point that they feel like my paint.
