  • Brown & Down: The Oldschool JDM Addiction Continues

Hey everybody, it's been a dog's age since I was last here. My computer took a shit a while back and I've been too broke and too busy to get it fixed until just recently. Some of you might possibly remember my EF hatch build, which has now been sold to fund the current project. I'm an impossible addict for old Japanese shit and this thing just popped up on Craigslist a week or so ago. I loved my hatch to death (first car, first build, so much time and work and money went into her) but it was time for an upgrade to something odd and awesome.

Introducing my 1982 Honda Civic Wagovan CVCC

Picked up for 1700, with est. 140k on the clock. Fitted with the stock, carbureted 65hp CVCC engine.

Plans for the moment are to dump it, find some period 14in wheels to fit, and a Weber carb kit. Stay tuned!

Thanks everybody, I love the support here. Nothing much will happen for a while, since Colorado is still stuck in winter but soon, soon...

Also starting a killer new job come Monday, making bank so hopefully that speeds the process!

                    I'm honored

Okay so I just started a new job and money is a little tight so not much is happening just yet. However I've been doing lots of shopping and I'm hoping to have her on the ground by mid-April. Looking at Monroe air shocks in rear with 5" blocks and mono-leaf, and EF front shocks with coils in front? Still have more research to do.

I think I've also found my set of wheels, just waiting on a friend to buy my old ones

No real updates, but yesterday I spent 6 hours detailing the wagon (the first thorough cleaning I've given her since I bought her). Came out beautifully. Still waiting on money so I can order a set of Borbet Type T's...

This is a close-up of the paint. It's almost a copper with the metallic flake in it. The hood and roof are badly faded though, so if a repaint is to occur I think I'd really like to find a direct color match to the oem paint
