  • Bmw e36 from The Netherlands.

    Hello.

My name is Shane, and I am from The Netherlands.

    I am currently driving a 1995 Bmw e36 Convertible.
I deliberately chose a 318 because i don't want to spend all my money on gas like I experienced on my Jag.

    My previous cars;

    2001 Peugeot 206 GTI 2.0 140 BHP
    2000 Jaguar S-type 3.0 V6 240 BHP

Bought it completely stock. (August 2014)

    140.000 km (87.500miles)

Currently driving on new OEM bmw style 32's 17".

    Nowadays

Lots of updates planned and in order

    Hello Gents

    Treated myself and the wife on some early Christmas presents;

    Canon EOS1200D DSLR
    GoPro Hero3+ Wifi.
    GoPro 33 pieces accessories

Also have been working on a nice Stanceworks Sticker for the window.
Love the fact that UK and Germany have their own regional model, and when i saw the model that Suburuuh (Ford S-Max 2.5L Turbo) i knew i had to make my own.

    So i did that.

Coil-overs are ordered and will arrive after Christmas.
6th of January they will mount 4 new Summer tires and the coils.
Trying to go as low as possible

    For now,
    Merry Christmas to y'all.

Very nice. Excited to see a VW in Germany that gets wide lips for once instead of that zero-lip nonsense.

              Thank you

Went on a 1,5 hour trip to a Truck show with some buddy's today.

Pretty awesome to leave home with rain and arrive there with lots of snow.
Obviously we couldn't help ourselves to act childish on the parking lots.
Bits of plastic broke of his 2003 e60, which was fun.

Let the buddy drive the e36 so i could try to take some pictures.
              (Still new to me, DSLR)

Buddy's e60, Fog lights on, because of broken HID.

Dumbass broke some plastic piece of aerodynamics, Laughed my ass off

Received an email about my coil's.
Factory is closed due to the holiday's, so i won't receive them until 7th or 8th of January.

              Pretty bummed about that.

Hopefully the next update will contain a pretty ***-damn low convertible

                    Ik had hem al gezien

Coilovers are AP-suspension, they claim that the quality is the same as weitec, and if it turns out to be sh*t i'll just buy myself some air or something like that

Apīs are not bad AP is weitec (now ST Suspension) and KW V1 - they are exactly the same and are produced in the same shop.

That's what they told me too, that is the most important reason why i decided to buy it.

Bad update from the shop, coilovers are out of stock, so i have to wait another week.

                          Finally got the coilovers.

They will be mounted at the end of the month when i will get my new tires for the summer.

It took a bit longer than I've wanted it to take.

                            Today's list;

                            Lowering the coils.
Mounting the new Summer tires (205/45/17R)
                            Alignment - negative 2 Camber.
                            Replaced 1 rear wishbone.

Rear dropped 50mm, can't go further.
Front dropped 50mm, can go up to 80/90mm.

I will let the car sit for this for some weeks, so everything can settle.

In a month or so i will drop the car some more so everything will rub and scrape

Some quick shots, i will make some decent in a couple of days.

Car drives like a dream, got my first frame to ground contact after 4 speedbumps, so that's cool.
First signs of bottom damage looked pretty cool.

Added a detail on the windshield and gave her a quick wash because we had some snow last week.

                              some quick pics.

                              Discovered some challanges,
Minor oil leak on the frond of the engine and a noise from the rear left when i drive to hard from a speedbump.
