Hi guys,
I'm looking at picking up a beautiful set of refinished BBS LMs. The faces have been reverse mounted, which we all know is extremely common. The lip around the faces was not machined either, which is also very common
However, I stumbled across a post on Rennlist where a member spoke with an engineer at BBS- he pointed out that doing so is dangerous and places unnecessary on the bolts and could lead to failure. I've seen another post on here alluding to the same.
That said, has this actually happened to someone who has reverse mounted them? I've never seen or heard of it and I'm sure there hundred of cars out there are running this set up.
Any of you all with reverse LMs track your cars? What are your thoughts? Any concerns?
