  • EF'in third times the charm - 89 civic sedan

Whats up everybody, so this is my third ef sedan. First was a gold 89 automatic, wasnt feeling the gold or automatic so I sold it and got a grey 90 5 speed. Some things happened and I ended up trading it to my friend for a 98 benz. I kick myself everyday for getting rid of that car. I love these cars so much and missed my old one like crazy I just had to get another. Been looking around trying to find a mostly stock civic but just kept finding junk. Then came across this 89, already has some decent work done and some of it were things I already planned on doing anyways. What it has right now

    form and function type 1s
    15x7 drag dr27 ( selling asap!)
    lca's
nrg quick release and nardi wood grain wheel
    and a few other things

I plan on making some changes and making it my own, its my daily driver so its not going to be a crazy show car I just plan on having fun driving it.On to the pics! Only taken a few so far but ill be posting more soon.

    heres my old sedan

Heres the 89. bodys not perfect but its not horrible either. Im digging the blue.

    The drive home

Has some leather gsr seats in it, going to sell them soon though. Not a big fan of leather.

Ive always wanted one of these wheels! I love it

Thats it for now, I'll post some more pics in a couple days. Thanks for looking!

I love them! Can find them decently cheap, easy and cheap to work on, and great gas mileage!

Thanks man. Yea it's not a bad looking wheel but I'm going for something more aggressive.

No major updates just been cleaning it up and did a couple little things,

put on a volvo lip, had one on my last 2 sedans and I like how it fits.

Got some rear mudflaps, getting harder to find

Put in a gsr console for now, eventually I want to get an oem civic lower console and arm rest though.

Hoping to sell the wheels soon, then start saving for some diamonds. Hopefully get those and tires by january or february. Have some ideas for interior stuff too.

Got some little updates right now, more over the weekend but since I last posted Ive sold the drags, sold the seats, sold the function and forms they just didnt go low enough. heading up to ground control in the morning and picking up a ground control/koni kit. My favorite setup had it on my last sedan.

On some fat fives I got from my buddy, Ill keep these as spare wheels. I really want to find some gsr blades one of these days but the fives will do for now.

Got a hood bra, always liked them and always wanted one

And put some 90-91 tails on, like the look of them with the 89 center garnish.

Will definitely have more pics over the weekend of the new lows!!
              Thanks for looking

Put in the new suspension, koni/ground control with extended top hats. Once I get my wheels I'll set it at the exact height I want it.

Thanks man its coming along. This is my favorite civic bodystyle, probably onlymodel of civic I'll own. I love the old school style, they have alot of character. I also have an 88 toyota pickup which is the more boxy model. Its always fun seeing another EF driving around, you dont see too many in my area.

Thanks guys! I love this setup, best suspension to go with in my opinion. Had it on my last sedan too.

Not sure how I feel about the mix matched tail lights. But I've always had a thing for EF sedans and yours looks really good.
