So I'm rebuilding a set of Type 2 O.Z. Mitos and picked up a pair of 2.5in outer lips to use for a decent price. For the most part they just need a good polishing, however one has an inch long gash on the outer most point of the lip. Is this fixable or am I better off getting a new lip?

I would try something like Alumalloy rod to fill that and see if it matches(it can be polished but may look a bit different in color).

Thanks I'll have to try that. Scratch isn't too big so I guessing it probably wouldn't be too noticeable unless you are up close

          That's a deep one...

You could smooth it out by hand if you just want it less noticeable. If it were mine, I would get it welded and re-cut on a lathe.

I'd weld it and carve it back by hand with a die grinder.
