So, my first build thread, and really my first "build." Or at least, the First one that I plan to stick with no matter what happens. Little bit of back story is sorta necessary, Names Will, 19 years old from Florida and i've had 5 cars so far, all of them sold before I accomplished 20% of what I planned. After Escaping an '03 v6 mustang bestowed upon my by my parents, I picked up one of my dream cars, an '89 e30. Loved the car to death, but got mad at it after the shift linkage broke twice in a month and I decided I needed a more "reliable" form of transportation. So I got a 350z, threw some xxr's on it and teins and real dumb exhaust and called it a day. But it so lacked the soul that I loved with the bmw, so I made a dumb decision for my situation and budget, and sold the car and bought an e28. Realized how much work that car was actually going to be an how much money and after painting it and cleaning it up, put it up for sale. Pics:
The common theme was half-assing all of these cars, then selling them when I got bored or intimidated.
WELL NO LONGER! haha. I found an absolutely mint, low miles, one-owner '95 Miata in Laguna Metallic. Super rare blue and it was 90% flawless. only one problem, it was at a dealership priced at (this is not a joke) 7k. So after a month of bartering with them and painful experiences and them realizing how ridiculously high it was, I got it for just under 4k. When i got it home:
I drove it around stock while i was waiting for the e28 to sell, enjoying every minute of it. My dad has owned a Miata as long as i can remember and i loved driving that when i could, but his was an NB and there was something just a little bit more charming about the NA. Maybe its the pop-ups?
Anyway. Once the e28 sold, I ordered a set of BC's and started the hunt for wheels. got my BC's on the cheap from jsc sport or jcs sport (cant remember) on a fourth of July sale, and i was really shocked to get them just 3 days later.
Got those on with the help of my Good friend Austin, who has experience with the upper control arm bolt which is a REAL PITA.
Got them in and lowered it down. finally outta 4x4 mode for a little bit.
So, after searching through every page of every forum ever (exagerration but you know what i mean) i found a great deal on a set of RS's that happened to be in my state. drove through the night to pick them up...
They're 15xWeak, but i ran them for a while before splitting two of them.
Thats about all i have time for right now, I'll up date it a lot more later tonight.
