Just throwing it out there. I have no real reason to sell it, just some extra cash and something different would be nice. But, it's paid off, insurance is cheap, and I've got a Ruckus I ride everyday (weather permitting) so fuel economy doesn't even bother me much. It spends most of it's days now sitting in the garage. But figured I'd throw it out there for my "crazy" price and see if anyone is interested.
What I'm looking to get
$10,000 firm
Would consider trades for: (all trades either need to be straight across or cash on your end)
S4 (C4 or B5)
Mercedes (would consider anything mid 70s to mid 90s) preferably diesel, or v8, or forced induction. No base model engines unless it's a good deal.
A4 USP/S-line
Or pretty much anything somewhat outside of the ordinary.
Now before you go crazy about a $10k 2003 Passat, keep these in mind. W8s are hit or miss, some are lemons and constantly have problems, some are perfect and never have problems. This car has NEVER had any unusual problem. Things that have needed repair since I've owned it, torn CV boots (I replaced with cheap axles that failed, so OEM ones now and no problems), engine mounts leaked (has 034 street density mounts now) and a front wheel bearing. As far as I know, the engine and transmission has never been out, it's that trouble free. And if you know W8s, that's a rarity. I know once I sell it, the chances of finding another one just like it is slim to none, especially with what's done to this one. The car has spent most of it's life in the pacific north west, and has only been in the mid west 3-4 years (only 3 winters). So thanks to both VWs rust proofing, and limited exposure to the elements, it's a very clean car.
Now you may still be wondering why it's $10k. It's 1 of 44 2003 W8 6 speed sedans that are black with black interior in North America. It's also a Sports package, which makes it even more rare. It came stock with firmer sports suspension, thicker sway bars, and true 2 piece BBS RS800 aka "Madras".

Custom finished B6 S4 calipers with B8 S4 rotors (345mm vs stock 321mm, and easier wheel fitment)

Custom charcoal wood trim

Resonator delete with electric cutouts controlled by an oem "Funk" switch
Shark fin antenna
Pioneer AppRadio3
All engine mounts replaced with 034 mounts, rear diff carrier mount replaced with Apikol poly mounts.
TRS Morimoto HIDs with clear projector lenses
I have stainless steel brake lines that I haven't installed yet. And a handful of little things here and there.
