  • CAtuned 54 Chevy Pickup

Finally getting to my 54 Chevy Pick up.
It's been in the family since as long as I can remember.
It was passed over to my Brother Max (aka MadMax)
But I had made the deal to purchase it from him last year and it made the journey back to Cali last year from MO. Previously it's been sitting for about 8 years.

Here is the truck from when my siblings were smaller:

Here is the truck sitting in a field in MO (and yes it was protected from the weather, etc:

Have more pics just need to find them. Will update when I do

Truck getting delivered to our shop in Sacramento:

Went to clean off the truck. Power wash and get the 8 years of junk off.
Remove everything from the inside, etc. And move it in to the shop:

Now the truck had previously been worked on when it was in Cali 8 years ago.
We had done a Mustang 2 suspension on it. Ford rear end. And we sourced a 37K mile LT1 out of a Camaro.

I wanted to protect the truck from any serious rust.
Went to clean it all off and apply a generous amount of POR15

Fast forward to today. I have received well about $1,200 dollars in parts.
And hoping more will show up. From a full window and door seal kit, new windows, new locks, pull handles, new head liner, etc.

Gawd... I have a sincere fear for clowns... Had the pictures zoomed in while scrolling trough them and I literally jumped...
Awesome truck tho! Is it, or will it be C-notched?

That truck looks to be really solid, we have a family 48' international and its pretty rough. I'd love to have a truck as straight as that, so much rust here in the midwest on trucks (we do use the S%*! out of trucks though).

I should think so considering you have something very similar.

No no cutting of the roof or notching.
