So I decided to finally make a build thread. My names Corey, 20, from Sacramento CA. Ive bounced around between a few different cars and I think this is the one I might keep for a while. I started with an 89 245, sold it and bought this

Luckily not my fault and insurance cashed me out, so I bought my friends 745 turbo, which I lowered on style 5s
Wanted something old school so I traded it for this
Which was awesome, but I eventually wanted something turbo again, so I traded it for the car I have now, my 242.
The car was originally built by an old guy and his son, who sold it to some guy in LA. Unfortunately the guy in LA didn't take really good care of it, so when I got it it needed a lot of basic maintenance stuff.
Heres what the car had when I got it:
manifolds, turbo and intercooler from '92 940 turbo
srt-4 blow off valve
3" exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler
bmw getrag 265 5spd trans
13 lbs flywheel
clutchnet 6 puck clutch disc and pressure plate
28mm front sway bar 25mm rear
gt upper and lower bars
ipd sport springs
ipd adjustable torque rods
bilsteins hds all around
front end from '78
bertone rear seats and door panels
and probably other stuff I'm forgetting.
All Ive really done so far is stuff just to get it running good and reliable. replaced alternator, battery cables, cap and rotor, timing belt, spark plugs, etc. Also removed the ugly window tint and did some spring cutting
So here are some pictures of how it sits now
Heres some pictures from a photo shoot with my friend Jason and his 244 (have since ditched the front plate)
Plans are to get it sitting right on some wheels (was thinking of some 16" style 5s until I can afford something cooler). Possibly find some kind of lip/spoiler for the back, some louvers, some better front seats, a nardi wheel... and I could go on and on. Let me know what you guys think!
