Default Help me decide: 215/45 or 205/45 on an 8"

Hey all, I am having a tough time deciding on tires to put on my RFs (17x8) when they are finished. I bought 215/40s but the sidewall is too small for my liking.

I looked on tyrestretch but I am confident that neither of these are an 8, they are supposed to be 205/45s:

the other shots there dont show as much stretch but the shots arent great.

I cant find a 215/45 for the life of me either, so, give me your thoughts.

I dont want a ton of stretch, but some is fine.

car they will be on:

THANKS!

oh, and the tires would be 512s...maybe thats why the second pic above looks so stretched, it is of a 512???

You will be very happy with a 205 on an 8". I have a 215 on a 8.5 and I'm happy as well. I think you won't regret it.

wheel gap? coils should fix that though. just adjust them lower to erase the gap.

Falken 912s come in 215/45. 215s would probably not show any stretch on an 8" wide wheel. 205s would be a fairly mild stretch. It depends a lot on the model tire also. 512s run small and therefore show a lot of stretch for their size.

Wish we had Falkens here in Brazil. Dunlops are the best option for stretch around here, I think.
But I run 195/40 Toyo PX4s on my 8,5 (:

ya i think the tire type is what is throwing me off, it is hard to visualize, lol. i think if i get 512s i will go with a 215 as i do not want too much stretch at all.

if anyone has pics of either a 215/45 or a 205/45 i would still love them.

thanks guys!

I think I'm going 205 45 on an 8 soon. My issue is filling in wheel gap too, but mine isn't an issue with ride height, its more an issue of having a huge car.
