  • 1979 bmw e21 on air.

since we are looking to change things up and start on another project, we decided to put our e21 up for sale. Car is a '79 320i with a little over 90k original on it. very reliable driver. Maintenance is all up to date, new plugs, wires, distributor, fuel pump, etc have just recently been replaced.

motor is basically stock, has a long tube header and exhaust. thats about it.

trans was swapped over from a 4 speed to a 5 speed variant from an e30. Much better gear ratios, and having a 5th gear is kind of nice at times. Makes it a far better driver..

The car is on a custom universal air setup that we fabricated for this car. Complete ability to drop the frame on the floor, or cruise at ride height all day long. No expense spared on the air setup. We decided to run paddle valves to go along with the simplicity of the build, management might be a not so bad idea if someone wants to make this a DD though.

brakes are all brand new, new pads, lines, new drum pads in the rear.

car has full euro bumpers on it, sourced and sent over from germany. took a few months to get our hands on these things in good shape. Makes the car imo.

car was repainted about a decade ago. Topaz brown metallic. Original color from the car. It is certainly not a show car, but is in very good condition for a driver.. I would rate 8 for the exterior and an 8.5 interior

Interior has new custom cloth bucket seats (somewhat time appropriate) and sliders, wood rear parcel tray, new headunit/sound components, otherwise all original. Interior is in very very good shape for a '70s car. it even has the mandatory 70s floor mats to finish it all off.

more info on the car and some of the work can be found @

Post your build threads here! Keep us updated on what you're doing in your garage.

we run adapters on the ARE set from the sponsor on the site here. the bbs RS set is 4x100/57.1 so it requires nothing and just bolts up to the hub.

More pictures of the car will be up shortly. We plan on taking pictures with both sets of wheels (provided I finish the RS set), and some interior/ bay shots since we dont have really any of the car as it stands today.
