  • Enough with the E28's already!

    Sup duuuudes

As some of you know I bought an E28 from California back in February thanks to Byron and Mike. A couple months later it was shipped over to Virginia, to Fortune Auto's headquarters to be specific. There it received some special treatment as a prototype car for new platform of coilovers from FA x Broadway Static.

After it was done the car sadly sat around down there for a couple months as I had no time at all to go down and grab it.

Last week I decided to man up and go get it. Asked around to see if anyone would roadtrip down there with me and get it. Thankfully I have some awesome friends (because of this wonderful site) that decided to join. It became a 4 man crew haha, that was brought together even closer. So much fun. Thanks again guys!

So now that it's finally here after about 7 months, I'm happily enjoying the car. A lot.

I now present to you the very beautiful 535is on the first ever set of Broadway Static x Fortune Auto E28 coilovers

    1988 535is
    Alpine White
    Llama Interior
    5spd

    SSR OG Formula Mesh
    5x120 original pcd
    16x7 et12
    16x7.5 et6

Already have a bunch of parts I was collecting while I was awaiting it's final arrival home haha, and a few more soon to be here. Euro goodies of course.

Something very sweet is on the way too. It wasn't planned but it's something I couldn't pass up. That's all I can say for now.

The wheels later on will be converted to 17s in wide specs and low offsets.

Thanks for looking dudes, hope you stay tuned for some good stuff!
    I dislike Byron.

Got any pictures of the coil overs?
Any room to go higher, and could you take a of the wheel to coil clearance?

Pretty incredibly jealous of the llama interior. But you've sat in it and ruined it and my envy is gone.

                          Good luck ruining it.

Very nice. I'm also in for the coilover pics.

I too have an 88 Alpine White IS. Been contemplating shadow lining. But these pictures definitely push me to get off my butt and do it.

I haven 't read up in these coilovers specifically so it may be addressed elsewhere but what are you doing for camber adjustment? How much adjustment do you still have in the coils?
