I guess I'll finally post some of this stuff.
I used to post lots when I had this:
And did this:
But I traded that. For this:

But didn't want those....
I was on the hunt for a 190d with a manual trans. After asking around a ton, I met this dude (Mr. McGee) with a Cosworth. Thinking he'd maybe have a lead on a diesel, I pestered him a bit and he offered me his parts car. It was another Cosworth. I couldn't pass it up.
I bought it non running, blown suspensioned, and missing lots of thangs.
I bought most the pieces to complete it. The engine ended up being a little scarier than I thought.... The chain tensioner has gone through three different updates and this hadn't seen any. The cam gear had slipped like 3 teeth.
But I was able to get it all retimed and retensioned and all other things.
The car had factory hydraulic leveling suspension, which is great when it works... Mine was dead. And super spendy to get back up to par. So I saved up and got these:
I am like one of a handful of guys running ground control coils on this chassis. They have been amazing, though. Best purchase yet.
This is just after getting them on:
With wheels, I had planned on running these:
Sum Hayashis I refinished.... But they were 16s, and I wanted 17s.
So I snagged the quintessential Benz wheels.
Test fit looked delicious:
And once tires were on:
Anddddd, I've just been driving the crap out of it as of lately.
I got to see Crater Lake:
Drove down to California:
I drove up to Seattle to see Spencer:
As of recently I bought an older CB360 and the car has fallen on the back burner....
It is getting a full wheel refinish and paint this winter. Some other goodies eventually.
