  • My First Stanced Ride - Straigt outa SA(South Africa)

    Hey Guys!

Ive been lurking on th forum for a while... trying to get ideas for my newly acquired ride. a 1974 Mercedes-Benz W115 230.4 Manual.

    So lets begin,

I'm from Cape Town, South Africa. Some might've heard of it before :P

I'm not new to the stance scene though, I also have a Nissan Sil80 on coilovers... work in progress.

Well lets get into it. I got the Benz about a week ago after its been standing in a garage for over a decade. Kinda a barn find if you will. All stock. 56k km on the clock and yes thats the real mileage. Service records from the 1980's till new. second owner car. etc etc.

My plans are to get it running 100% then start looking into bagging the fraulein as static would rip my kidneys apart on our roads... plus already static with the Sil80!

    Well here she is...

I liked the OG wheels the best by far. Looks clean.

And PLEASE don't put those other wheels on. Please.

            Haha Thanx man!

Yeah bought them for the Sil80... was just thinking they might work... but love the OG wheels too.

I'm a bit of a wheel whore. so might have 4 different sets by the end of the year.

Actually looking for something like this:

I haven't seen one of those air pump in years.

Lower it and call it a day. These old mercs look great simple and clean.

Clean slate to start with. So jealous of the lack of rust! Go with the AMG pentas, bag it and paint the trunk. done.

Yeah problem is getting a set. Found a front pair but the guy wants R4000 (+- $400)
for it. So in two minds atm.

Haha I live close to the ocean so might not have so little rust for long. But thanx!

Haha sounds about right. Just need to wait for weather to clear then I can paint the trunk.

Between the pentas and bags I'm gonna be saving a long time

                          Thanx guys.

Will post some more shots tomorrow.

I decided that I'm going to keep the OEM rims for now. just going to refurb them. Will get a second set of spring and cut a coil or two just for a stanced look for now:banghead: as I need to save up about R25000 ($2500) for my air ride kit.
