had to come up with an idea for an article my newspaper was running titled, "Faces of Depression" and this is what i came up with..
it's funny how some blue/cool tint and some desaturation can really change the mood of a picture. that and how a faceless figurine can easily portray an emotion lol

^^i know if you bump the white level up you'll lose detail, but that image is pretty flat
sooo i have no suggestions lol, maybe bump up the whites a tiny bit and recover a little with highlights/shadows
edit: here's one i took similar to yours. this photo was not taken in a studio or anything:

Hmm, I kinda liked the way ti came out. But I see what you're saying.
And yeah, mine wasn't in a studio. Just bright white flowers and a dull background so I bumped up the blacks and that's about it.

If I remember the story correctly, he caught it, threw it on the ground just long enough to take the shots, and threw it back in the water. No, those are not bees or bullet holes, just stuff off the grass.
