hello my name is michael and this is my 1967 911 build
i have had it for a couple of years now. My dad owned this car since i was a little kid but i only got to ride in it a few time because he sent it to a friends paint shop to get painted but ended up sitting for several years. The shop would eventually close down so we grabbed the car before it was lost. It sat at my house for another year or so until he said if you wanna get it running you can have it or we can sell it..so i began to build it.
the car sat without much protection or starting for over 7 years and this was the result..
interior full of parts, rust, and carburetor swimming pools
first step: first time everything
as you can imagine, the gas tank was full of old gas and rust. over the first couple weeks, we cleaned and re-sealed the tank and ran new gas lines. After point, plugs, etc.. it was time for my first carb rebuild
once it was running alright. re-jetted and tuned the carbs, upgraded the ignition for better spark and went for it with my first paint job.
40$ worth of rustoleum and thinner, a light sand and tack cloth, and ofcourse a couple friends to keep me company and get a crack at painting..
this is how she would sit for a few months before i actually began to go deeper into the car at the same time teaching my self to weld and fabricate(pc:dohcresearch)
