Default Three Odd Cars.

All three are on coilovers, Jetta is a TDI. The Taurus and Focus are both works in progress, so be kind to all of us. Third time's a charm for mine?

Jetta: Fully polished sawblades. 8.5 front, 9.5 rear. Raceland Ultimos, motor mount spacers, frame notches, hybrid pan.

Focus: Borbet Type CB, H&R coilovers, other stuff.

Taurus: Stockers for now. Custom-built coilovers (ST, IIRC). We're working on a set of wheels for this car, as well.

Cool/weird collection, Taurus needs to loose those front fog lights IMHO.

YES it does, we're trying to come up with some other solutions to his lighting problem. Thanks for the kindness, we take pride in having cool/weird cars!

to lighten things up. jetta is on point! loving the center cap. def sets the sawblades off perfectly. the fitment is so nice.
loving the focus too rockin it hard. i used to have a focus. previous body style and hatch. looking awesome as is but maybe some more agressive wheels in the future? i'd love to see this thing stanced out

Nothing odd about 3 cars you see multiple times per day. You can pick up a Taurus like that for about $1000 anywhere you look, because they're unbelievably shitty.

The jetta looks dope as fuck, though.

The Jetta is nice, I wouldn't call it off there are 15million modded Jettas. The Focus needs more agressive wheels and the rear to come down a ton. The Taurus is in fact odd being as its a taurus and besided the old SHO is more or less pointless.

That being said, lower the taurus about a mile more and put some wheels on it and some ppl might be suprised.

I got 2000 taurus wagon and i think it's a great car It's big and comfy. But i live in Poland and it's very rare in here (unlike jettas or focuses). I'd suggest 18" from XK8 for it:

And those fog lights should definitely dissapear

The Jetta and Focus really just need spacers and they're solid as is really. On to the Taurus...here's the thing. You've either got to a) treat it like a big body or b) inherit it's sporty cousin, the SHO. Either way, first thing is remove the fog lights. If you go big body sedan (cuz technically, it's a full size for its time), dump with some meshies. 17's or 18's would be ideal. 19's would need to have a decent tuck to look right imo. If you go sporty, SHO kit (or at the very least, front bumper) spoked wheels. Wouldn't go more than 10 spokes. Drop the hitch or jazz it up a bit (if you use it). It's got potential.

I like the originality and if you're here, you got some idea of how to accomplish things. Make it happen man. All 3 of these cars have very solid potential in the right hands. Looking forward to see the outcome.

edit: Looks like it's running a modified contour bumper. That actually works w/o the fogs. With smaller profile tires and some spacers, you could probably have a solid piece for a bit till you get everything together.

Just because you can mod something, doesn't mean you should. If the Taurus is a hand-me-down, I kinda understand--when life gives you lemons...--but I would just work my ass off and save up for a car worth the trouble.

The car is awesome! He's got some cleaning up to do, but it has all kinds of potential just because of what it is, IMO. A lot of people find it odd that I've actually always loved Tauruses; I just think they're terrifically reliable, well-engineered cars.

It should look pretty cool. I would have chosen different wheels than what we're working on, but at least we're making them look really cool.

There are several Tauruses out there, especially of this vintage, that look terrific; you just need to look for them .

Thanks for the kind words on the Jetta and the Focus, we're very proud of our cars. The Jetta is aesthetically about done, now he's concentrating on making it fast. A bigger turbo, injectors, new tune, and some other stuff is next.

As, for my car (the Focus) more aggressive wheels are 100% in the plans, as my fitment does bother me. I'm not sure if I want to move on to another set of wheels or widen the CBs, though.

The Taurus was actually an almost impossibly reliable car, it was the 3.8 in the 2nd-gen cars that gave them a bad name, though. Keep in mind, these cars cars are still so common because they're all still running.

yeah, I tossed the Jetta in the "odd" category because it is such an odd little car in what it is. Driving a TDI is a very weird experience, and with the 3" screamer pipe, the car sounds like somebody put a school bus in a microwave.

I do need to work on the stance on my car (Focus), but I appreciate the kind words an pointers!

Which one?

The Jetta is a very, very nice car, though. It has nearly 200K on it and still looks great!

Man, what an awesome idea! I'll pass that on for sure! The fog lights are on the way out.

The Taurus' body is actually totally stock, you're just seeing the update on the fourth generation, there. Thanks so much for all the encouragement!

Haha I saw the Tauraus in person a few weeks ago. The kid was cool so I got no ****. He needs to go way lower and balls to the wall fitment if he wants to put it on the map though. I hope he does

Yeah, Jared's a wicked cool kid, very fun to hang out with. I'm helping him through the wheel math, as is the kid with the Jetta, so we'll hopefully get it right between the three of us.

You could run some Cobra R's on the Taurus. They are more then capable of looking good. Here's my friend's car. I really like the Jetta and the Focus.
