    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n2hrARWZqs"]Turd Ferguson on Jeopardy! - YouTube[/ame]

    So i tried out the shine seal product. CCW and memory fab both recommend it so i figured it was worth a try. It is supposed to seal raw aluminum for 2 years from oxidation and corrosion. It was a bit of work, but i have a bit of money invested in the polishing so i figured it was worth it. Besides, the wheels had been of the car for a while so i wasn't in any rush.

    I cleaned the wheels with the provided cleaner. Then i applied the sealer and let it dry. Then I applied the slick finish to bring the wheels back to a shine. The wheels feel really smooth since the sealer bonds in the pores.

    There are a lot of extra difficulties working on my car in SF streets and living on the 3rd floor. Lots of walking down the stairs, then down the block, walking to my other car, dragging a floor jack 2 blocks, then running upstairs because i forgot tools. I also cant leave stuff scattered because i am afraid of people stealing my stuff so i have to pack all my stuff into my car if i walk up into my room. In the end I was happy finally getting my wheels back on.

    Then it was time for a mandatory photo shoot

                  I used Shine Seal on the lips of the Rotiforms on my 911. I applied it in March and they look good as new still. However, I can now see a few spots that I missed with the sealant that are starting to oxidize, but I'm glad that the entire lips don't look like those small areas!

                    Man, so good.

                    I'll have to invest in some of that stuff for the lips on my new wheels.

                      your car is sick man. (i'm a fellow black mk3 owner)
                      the only thing that doesn't flow for me are the yellow fogs/clear dummies/amber turn sigs.
                      everything else is perfect.

                              I'm glad to hear that. i hope i covered my wheels good enough. i kinda took a gamble on purchasing it. since i didnt know anyone personally who used it, and its kinda pricey for a polish.

                              the turn sigs are euro oem, the yellow fogs are french fog replicas. i havent broke down yet to buy the real ones for $300 new on ecs. I had all stock lights in the bumper, then bought FK black housing ones, then i got tired of the all black look. Im not about to rock some hella magic colors either. im not really looking to change it up but let me know if you have ideas. i thought about kanye shades to blend it all together.
