Default 2012 Beetle....bagged

Just posting up some pics of the 2012 Beetle my wife and I have been building over the last month or so. She has been begging me for one so I finally gave in after hearing he plans of a bagged/retro theme. Its bagged using airlift xl's up front and an airlift twist beam kit out back all controlled with an accuair vu4 manifold and a switchspeed controller. Here is our progress so far.

The trunk was purchased from a local antique store here in Omaha. It was also built here in Omaha back in the day. We wanted something a little different to house the management and hardlines.

Couple pics after I cleaned up the tank and polished the hardlines. This was my first attempt at a hardline setup.

It took us a week or so to have time to notch it.

the beetle and my boys static gti, both with fresh notches.

really love the new beetle, also great work with the retro look!

would like to see the rears wider, probably the same whees with deep dishes...

the idea with the antique in the tunk is really original, now you gotta make it removable with your management

any interior shots?

Thanks! The wheels are the factory "heritage" wheels that came on the car. So far the interior has been untouched.

wider wheels and big tyres on the back and small tyres on the front like all the old air cooled beetles have would look rad

Thinking the exact same. Could be the black/silver.

I was thinking the same thing... the way its painted reminds me of a PT Cruiser. The build is very clean though and props for the trunk idea.

The metallic black vinyl graphic on the side of our beetle pays homage to the OG Beetle. Lol not the pt cruiser.

needs the rear wheels widened and cambered a ton like old beetles, keep the fronts narrow and sunken.

I love it.

These new beetle's have really been growing on me. Easily the best one I've seen, and the trunk set up is killer also!

I'm still waiting for the new Beetle to grow on me (I don't even know if the older one has yet), but this is certainly helping things!
