Default Video Camera Stabilizers

What rigs do people generally use for smoother video camera operation? Anyone with first had experience would be great.

I have seen a few DIY ones but I thought I would ask to see if anyone has input. Ive also used media stabilizers but the quality goes a bit odd when I use it with a video that has too much camera movement.

Thanks.

Steadicam or Glidecam is the way to go.
Just make sure you buy one for the general weight of your camera.
The ones that go for thousands and thousands are usually for much heavier rigs.
You don't need that if you're using just a dslr with small glass.
