Default Radio Flyer

So I figured now is a better time than ever to post up the photos of my newly bagged 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo. I am been lurking on S|W for a while now and finally consider my car capable of playing with the minor leagues here. I am not all that good at finding things to say about my car other than I have loved every minute of the last 3 years of owning it. It is well on its way to being where I would like it to be.

For now I shall let the photos speak for themselves. Comments, criticisms, questions and concerns are more than welcome.

Wheels are OE Volvo Odysseus. 18x8 et55 w/ 205/40 Yokohama S.Drives. Spacers/Adapters are 20F/42R bringing the adjusted ets to 35F/13R.

Shout out to Trevor at Celerity Photography for doing the photoshoot and to Matt and Jeremy for their helpful input on the air system.

would like to see it with smaller (wider) wheels and slammed on the ground, just because of the air... other than that it's probably the cleanest 850 i've ever seen.

cheers!

This needs the rear wing IMO. Looks good otherwise.
Please show your bag setup in a build thread?

Yeah... the driver side was repainted in its previous life. The 601 red 850s were all single stage and the repaint was done with a clear coat. Its peeling in places and its definitely on the list to be fixed.

Its actually two first gen Honda CRX lips frankensmashed together. They don't make lips for these cars sadly.

The rear wing is very common among the Volvo enthusiast crowd. I do like how they look but I enjoy being the only to show up to GTGs without one more.

Added wheel and tire info to OP.

Thanks!

The caps are actually vinyl over the stock caps. They make replicas of these wheels and I wanted to differentiate these from the reps.

The biggest draw for me about these headlights is not the projectors but the one-piece construction. Stock headlight setups are two piece. I also wanted them to be as dark as possible while still functioning.

Holy shit man, very nice 850. Damn it's shiny! One of the nicest I've see. I love the shot with the school bus. And the one red lug nut/bolt. Pics are amazing as well. Wow.

I've seen this car at a handful of different events and I really like it. Too bad Volvos can't get truly low, even on air. Such weird suspension engineering.

I don't call myself a hipster. That term is too mainstream...
In all seriousness I'm pretty far from the average hipster. I do live in Portland though.
