93 sportline LE 190e
i love build threads, unfortunately i suck at making them. but im bored and cant sleep so here we go.
nothing special yet but give it some time eh?
picked up the car last july, looked a little something like this

slapped on this rare AMG wing i had laying around.

me and my buddy konky went to h2oi

got distracted from the car over winter because of this turd

did got sick of the all black s600 grill

slapped a momo wheel on the bitch
then nothing happened because i "visited" another country
then i decided i needed new wheels. i happen to have had some bmw wheels laying around in like super minty condition..

so i said fuck bmw and sold them.
at this time winter was about over..

so i started getting ready for this year. red tails.

pulled the 5 speed out of my old car, waiting on a flywheel to appear
you know what? this thread fucking sucks. i havent done shit to this car to make it worthy of this site. wait whats that? over there in the distance?

17x8.5 et 13 17x10 et20
now we're talkin.
blasted those bitches. the finish was terrible.

primered them wheels. wheels love primer.

then i painted them. only thing wheels love more than primer is paint. only thing wheels love more than paint is powder coat. unfortunately SoWo is in two weeks and i dont have the time. so the paint is temporary.

buying caps tomorrow.
then breaking out the angle grinder because theres like two companies that make coils for my car and im poor. not really. im getting coilovers before h20i this year. it'll get better in my posts to come, i promise.

well the two companies that make them are Ground Control and Yellow Speed Racing.
the ysr kit is much more afforadble and goes lower than the GC kit. i can get the ysr kit for about $1200 while the ground control kit is $2500. so ysr.

Meh I got 225/45. A 50 series on a 17 on a 190e would be way too big. Hell, the 45 is, just no one makes a 225/40/17 lol

I have three of them lol.
My boss gave me some tires for the rear. Continental procontact 225/45 for the rears.
I also just ordered my fronts from discount tire direct, and since they're coming from Ohio, they'll be here tomorrow. $79 bucks a pop for falken 512s? Yes please.

These are the 225/45's up against the 10's. They were on 7" wide wheels before, should get some stretch right?

225 45 will look bad.... like this...

too much meat on side walls of tire....
if u want 225 wide, u need to go 225 35.... falcon and yokohama makes them...

I will never do a 35 again. Rides like shit. Also do you have any more pictures of that 225/45? I can't see anything on your pictures.

No, then 205/40 is your bet for comfy ride.... then again if u get coil overs i dont understand how your going to expect a good quality ride anyways.. since there really are no great solutions for coil over system on MB. alot of us cut coils on stock springs and till get awesome performance out of them and a real comfy ride. if u are scared to cut coils off stock springs, order some H&R for 200 bucks and cut 1 coil off that...its just that with the amount of money you plan on spending on a coil overs u can get a nice bag set up ... comfy ride and adjustable suspension... win win...

I have cut 400e springs, i'm just cutting a few more coils off. I'm not looking for a "comfy" ride just one that doesn't feel like shit. I have 35 profile tires on my current wheels, they suck. also, since my car is the 2.6 variant, its not exactly as easy as buying h&r springs for the car. i've owned and been working on 190es since I was 16, I know what i'm doing on these turds. I would never bag a car, i'm a pretty firm believer of static. And i've never seen anyone do a custom bag setup for 1200 bones. Also, I will be running 205/40 but on my front wheels. I'm not looking for a ridiculous stretch, I would never personally do a 205 on a ten. Not bashing ya, I know you know your shit.

Falken, Federal, Nankang, and Nexxen make 215/40/17 that are cheap and would work.
