  • 93 Accord in the works.

    My First Car, I'm 18 (when i started I was 15) and this my daily driver CB7, aka Jasmine. I planned on keeping it as a daily driver but now I have been inspired to do a full race build. I bought her for $1150 in "drivable" condition on August 5, 2011. She needed alot of work (i was told by my mechanic AFTER i bought it) but the seller said it just needed AC servicing. Will post progress and updates.

    08/13/11- Replaced leaking coolant hose & put on new battery clamps.
    08/15/11- Put on LED license plate lights from eBay.
    08/16/11- Installed Fram air filter.
    08/28/11- Valve Cover Gasket Replaced.
    08/30/11- Transmission Drain & Fill.
    09/03/11- Tune up (Spark plugs and idle timing set).
    09/04/11- Replaced Valve Cover Gasket (AGAIN).
    09/13/11- New Valve Cover (Painted Lime green).
    09/20/11- New PCV Valve grommets for both covers.
    09/24/11- New Distributor cap, rotor, and ignition wires.
    10/11/11- New Radiator installed.
    10/13/11- New Amber LED corner lights
    10/27/11- New By-Pass hose installed.
    10/28/11- New Fuel Filter installed.
    10/28/11- New blacked out dome light lens.
    10/31/11- New black housed Clear corners installed
    11/05/11- Painted OEM grille matte black w/ tinted Honda emblem.

    01/19/12- Sides & Front motor mounts & K&N cone filter installed.

    04/08/12- Replaced hose clamp on lower radiator tube, stopped the leak.

      Have been a member there since June of last year. Love the site. Also I'm on AccordObsession, I'm a mod there. Pretty good site that got started up in December. I agree, one of my favorite Honda chassis as well. Personally I think of the accord as a more mature tuner. Usually u see young kids that are all about racing in civics & preludes. I'll probably have my share of them too though. And yes, she'll be slammed hopefully during summer

        So the guy with the carbon fiber trunk is keeping it so I'm going to get some cheap coilovers til I can get function forms. My stock shocks and springs are going out anyways.

              I got them at 9pm at night and could only do one, cut me some slack haha and yeah my friend has F&F type 1's and he's pretty low without a camber kit and can still go a lot lower.

                I have type 2s on my wagon.. They go low, but a little too soft for my liking.. they ride is good for a dd tho.

                  If heard a lot of people say that as well with cb7's that it's too soft, I've known people to trade their T2's for T1's. And thanks man I appreciate it.

                    i love cb7 accords i think it would look pretty dope if you threw on some acura cl snowflakes and polished them until you get a better set just my opinion though, subscribed

                        Personally I like the OEM six spoke's, idk whybi just have an attraction to their look. I'll probably pick up some rims off Craigslist after I get my job and pay for my ticket. And I've been thinking about ground control as well. At first I was going to do Koni yellows with Nuespeed race springs but I want adjustable coilovers.

                        Well updates wise nothing yet, I'm replacing my drive belts today and hoping to get the timing belt done if not wait til he can do it another time. Whenever I get my coilover sleeves in (hopefully tomorrow) I would put them on that same weekend. But the guy I'm ordering them from said definitely by Wednesday so I'm hoping to get them ok this weekend and take some pics of it!

                          I replaced my drive belts yesterday and didnt get the sleeves today so they'll be here wednesday ad hopefully on by the end of the week.

                            You're pretty meticulous about taking notes!

                            I can't even tell you when I did what to my car to the month, let alone the day...

                            Plus, I think a lot of our lists would go something like:
                            5/7/12: Added water, still leaking
                            5/8/12: Added oil, No idea where its going
                            5/9/12: Adjusted camber, now rubs inner fenderwell, said F'it and left it as is
                            5/11/12: Put leak stuff in the radiator, leaking less, still leaking

                              Haha thanks? I just like to keep it organized so if something happened or I got a part still under warranty that breaks I can know exactly or about when I had it put on or ordered. I just think it's easier to get a history rather than describe it's past lol.
