    hi guys!

i've been a lurker and admirer on here for the last few years and recently i was lucky enough to pick up an Agave Green 1602.

For those of you in Australia I am in Brisbane and would love to get to know anyone in brisbane or australia who has one of these (or a 2002) and would be willing to be pestered by me with my questions!

only problem is that it got into a fight with a commodore (similar to pontiac g8 for you Yanks!) and came off second best

I'm getting the car delivered to my house tomorrow 6/4/2012 and i am so excited i feel all queasy inside!

from what i have seen the car is in pretty good condition apart from the accident damage obviously and am looking forward to getting to work on it!

I have been following ChubbyChowder & Heist's threads on here and am absolutely loving their work!

as for what i am going to do these few cars are a big inspiration to me and will be hoping to get it looking SOMETHING like them

so after going over the car since good friday i have done the following

removed rear bar to inspect panel damage due to a fight with a commodore the previous owner had

i managed to unfold the dent a bit with a hammer and wooden block but i think this section is beyond my nonexistent body repair skills

i also found out that the car was originally from sydney, which explained the shitty/unnecessary sound system. so i promptly pulled that out and spent a bit of time pulling the interior out of the car to get re-trimmed..

turns out before lebspec-audio bro's got their grubby hands on it the car had a tan interior. i'm not a fan so it will definitely be staying black

the rest of the interior is out but its dirty as fuck so i havent taken a pic. will post more pics when i do something interesting

finally took the seats out and over to my upholsterer, going with black truck seat material.. wont be cheap but will last forever

on the way home i bought a "rota dremel" tool , some metal used to make signs and some rubbber matter, i intended on cutting the metal so i could replicate this shifter boot cover thingy, and put some rubber underneath over the hole in the floor to stop shit getting in..

piece of shit tool cant cut properly... for $40 i probably shouldnt have expected lightsbaer like performance... oh well.. its mothers day this weekend guess mum's just getting this :p

so i am stuck with this template for now and no way to cut it out..

turns out i should have consulted ebay first..

despite this minor set back i did manage to fit in some rubber to cover the hole in the floor around the shifter

good progress! And yea for most of the 'common' plates/cuts ebay usually has a CDM dealer

ah, here you are! I remember this car now. Subscribed, can't wait to see what you do with it!

How do the painted door panels look? I have tobacco panels and am considering painting them black with some vinyl paint rather than buying black panels.
