The Fairlady in question, Freeda , came into my possession last summer.
Rough around the edges but all together full of potential.
Since acquiring her the spec list has grown as well as the amount of stories I can tell.

    1990 Nissan 300zx (Non-Turbo) VG30DE
    Stock Exterior with T-tops
    Satin Black Hot Rod Finish

    Suspension and Wheels:
    Tokico Shocks
Eibach Lowering Springs (switching to megan's or coils for moar low)
    18x8.5 Front - 18x9 back XXR 962

    Drivetrain and Engine:
Transmission rebuilt with PPG straight cut gears
    Stage 2 clutch
    Lightweight flywheel
    Short Shifter
    K&N Cold Air Kit
    HKS Hi-flow Exhaust

    Interior:
Lightweight racing seats-low mount rails. New Corbeau A4's waiting to be installed.
    4 point NRG safety harnesses
    7" touchscreen headunit
Worksbell quick release hub/ racing steering wheel

After the picture was taken the rear wheels were taken off and painted a rich gold color , as well as giving the brakes a once over with duplicolor. I'll have the picture up tomorrow after all the wheels are 100% done.

Some plans include but not limited to:
    - Stance! and finish wheels
    - Clean up the engine - Tune up
    - Replace Bearings
    - Interior makeover - install Corbeau A4 seats waiting in my room
    - Body work + new paint job.

Still debating on a color, recoat of Satin Black, Gloss Black, Flat White, Or military matte green. I'm a big fan of the Stain/Matte scene.

    More updates soon!

I'm a big fan of satin cars (I drive one, my A4) and a HUGE fan of Z32's. Z32's just don't have the sharp lines to pull of satin, high gloss is where its at.
And consider going with powertrix for coils.
It's also pretty rare that you see straight cut gears in a Z, post up some info on that.

Went out and looked for a quick spot to take a picture, rainy day/dirty car but i figured I'd share my progress

Tackling some bodywork within the next few days, working on selling my 'beater' so i can order some new seat brackets and suspension components

still undecided on color but i'm leaning towards either satin or gloss black

              Update!

Sold the beater today for a few hundred which puts some play money in my pocket!

Got the seats installed about two weeks ago- just haven't had the time to take any pics.
I'll get on that today, I also cleaned the engine bay of all overspray and grease built up over the years.

Still thinking about paint. Flat Army Green / Another coat of Satin / Gloss Black... it changes by the hour lol

                    Update! woohoo

                    FINALLY got some pics.

Interior Shot, Sorry for not tidying up the harness for the pic . Corbeau's are so comfy and supportive compared to the cheaper seats the car had when i bought it. Took the time to hardwire my new radar detector in as well, came out pretty clean (and has already paid off, haha)

Still deciding on paint! Let me hear some more ideas...

Fixing some minor problems then acquiring either Powertrix or Megan Coilovers and some spacers to drop it...

When I was looking at cars I came across the ad.. it included a few rough pictures and some things that I should have ran away from when buying a new daily driver, however she had so much potential. contacted the previous owner inquiring further about the car just out of curiosity. He then tells me the new tranny was rebuilt with straight-cut gears attached to a 60k engine. I've heard a lot about weak ZX transmissions so that had a lot to do with me getting this one.. Went the next day to pick her up haha.

Straight-Cuts are definitely a treat if you know how to use them to the full potential. With the sound of the exhaust and the wine of the transmission my car sounds like its going to take off as I go through the gears

                            Paint update!

Since it happened to be so nice out today and I actually had off, my cousin and I decided to start tackling the new paint job. Started by wet sanding everything down and cleaning everything up. Then took the hood, bumper, and both fenders off the car to spray.

When everything was off I decided it would be a good Idea too clean all of the usually hidden stuff up. So After a bunch of Simple green and scrubbing we removed 20 years of grime...

After disassembly and cleaning we started spraying the body panels hoping for the rain to stay away.

The front end of the car is completely done besides for a few small details that will be added after the rest is painted. I won't give anything away until the job is done...but I can leave you with this...
