Default 82 Mercedes 300sd. Helen.

So, I recently traded my E36 for something a little... Cleaner. FittedDownLow's 300sd, coincidently named Helen, like my e36 (Hellen). Now, where I went wrong with the E36 is that I took a whole bunch of ideas seen in the stance scene, and threw them together in a trashbag, shook it up, and dumped it on my car. Mistake. And I don't want to do that with this W126. Its on cut springs right now, so finding a set of coilovers that I can retrofit is first on the list, unless I find a few ideas that will flow with the slightly classier looks of the car. Now, what I need are ideas to keep this car with the kind of look it has now, but make it my own. I want to see what kind of ideas flow through the minds of the StanceWorks community.

So far the ideas I have are these, and i dont intend to do all of these, only ones that actually look good.

-Polished Firebird wheels (lips only? Gold face? Full polish?)
-Something involving white-walls (thick or thin stripe?)
-Hood stack (buying another hood and doing this for shits and giggles, not permanent, and not worth ruining my fiberglass hood.)
-Possible Gotti's. I'm buying a set when I can either way.

Thats all I have, I'll add more ideas when I can, and more pics tomorrow since I'm finally off work for a few days.

AMG wheels preferably Monoblock II or OZ 3 piece, or OZ Opera's would kill it. And fuck the stack just straight pipe it.

You should buy AMGwheelwhore's enkie mesh wheels. They would go so hard on this.

Btw I love this car! I hope you do it up right!

It's already straight piped. In the spring I'm running a stack with some sort of slip on or something as a novelty thing. But in regards to the polished firebirds, is the amount of work even worth it for a full polish? That's a serious mesh lol

Based off of the BMW, you should NOT do anything for shits and giggles because it can end up permanent!

I suggest saving the shit and giggle money and investing it on some decent coilovers and the fabrication to make them fit. The ride will be considerably better. Your butt and teeth will thank you.

The polished wheels with correct offsets will really bring the car out and combined with proper coilovers and fender work make the car YOUR car instead of "FittedDownLow's old car".

And personally, I don't think that the car is old enough (like a 66 benz) for white walls. You would also need a lot more tire to pull it off right.

Is that first picture the famous "lets sign over the titles on the trunk, who's got a pen" pic?

Hood stack will NOT be permanant, hence the purchase of the second hood. Thought the white walls would be a little rough to pull off though. As far as my ass and teeth thanking me, the ride isn't so bad simply because I have butt suspension! However, I'm currently working with a friend (E32 on 240sx coils and KMC wheels) and mike sweeney of charm city tuning to fabricate some sort of retrofit for coilovers.

Didn't realize that you were from MD too! I'll head up to Charm City when my car is ready to get tuned.

Hopefully I'll see this thing around somewhere!

My suggestions.

Fuck the custom coilovers, just bag it. Paint the lowers so its all one color. Then leave it alone.

Yeah, I started hosting a meet in Severna Park, if you're close enough. Might move the location to a certain parking garage in annapolis.

But as far as the car goes, bags would be great, but my bank account isnt baller enough for that hahaha.

Just let me know. I'm sometimes passing there on 50 going to eastern shore for work. 3 times this week. But when I do I'm driving a stock car.

Eff it! It will give me a reason to go to Adams Rib.

Yeah.... About that..... the "president of kenya" lights are going, but I admit, cant get rid of the Jesus piece inside! Starting the polishing of the meshies tomorrow after work, hopefully. Jake never finished the trunk after taking the wing off, so as a temporary fix, I stickerbombed the inside of the trunk. It would be great to think of some actual mods that I can afford, but right now I need to worry about this horrible fender rub. Can barely turn on the highway. Fixing an oil leak and doing an oil change after work, and then probably going to go dick with the injection pump.

Been there, amazing site. Kind of motivating me to buy my friend's brand new holset for 300. Just need to find a few things to support it, but I'd like to do ARP hardware and other supporting mods before I start doing anything crazy.
