I notice in the first pic that your hex nut part of the centre cap is polished/chromed is this right? I thought the hex part was plastic on these and a seperate piece(never seen them up close though).....so is the whole centre cap one piece and all alloy(?), as it looks great with that part of the cap shiny!

Yes, the hex nut part is full polished and the bottom is pained to match the wheel center. They are made out of aluminum, so they can be polished.
